Elysium is a musical project by Canadian songwriter, singer, and musician Louis Doyon. Seeing the light in 2019, Elysium's music is described as hard rock, classic rock, blues rock, alternative rock sometimes combined with genres such as funk, punk rock and progressive rock. The first Elysium album merges all the musical styles that have influenced Louis Doyon throughout his life that forged his deep passion for music.
Each Elysium songs are directly or indirectly related to Louis Doyon’s life. It’s a blend of experiences, rage, love, pain, dreams, and sciences. Elysium’s music is characterized using traditional instruments in rock music (guitars, bass guitar, drums, analogue synthesizers, electric organs) mixed with blues and funk instruments (harmonica, brass). Doyon writes the music and the lyrics ideas, sings, and plays bass guitars on all songs the Elysium album, alongside many guest musicians.
Elysium is currently building its lineup to perform live in the coming months and is working on new songs.
The Elysium project is…
Elysium is a world where music knows no border. It is a magical musical place. A place to restore and purify the soul. It's also a place of healing, a place where you can be yourself, because music has no judgment. Elysium means any place, state of happiness or delight that music can give us.
Music is a unifying element, and the goal of Elysium's music is to touch people's hearts and to create honest and authentic music.
